What we are
Utilavo is a free collection of browser-based utilities for everyday document, image, and developer tasks. Every tool is available instantly — no account, no subscription, and no software to install.
Our goal is to provide the tools people reach for most often in a fast, clean interface that gets out of the way.
Our tools
Merge multiple PDFs into one, split or extract individual pages, compress file size, convert pages to images, and build PDFs from images — all without uploading to an external service (except PDF compression, which uses a server-side pipeline and discards your file immediately).
Resize, compress, convert between formats, crop, and watermark images. Processing runs entirely in your browser — your images never leave your device.
Format and validate JSON, encode and decode Base64 and URLs, generate cryptographic hashes, test regular expressions, and convert color values. All computation is local.
How it works
Most Utilavo run entirely in your browser using modern web APIs. Files you open are read locally by JavaScript — nothing is transmitted over the network, and nothing is stored on our servers.
The one exception is PDF Compression, which routes your file through a server-side Ghostscript pipeline for stronger results. Files are written to a temporary location, compressed, streamed back to your browser, and deleted immediately — they are never logged, stored, or accessible after processing completes.
Our principles
- Free, always. Every tool is free with no artificial limits or paywalled features.
- No account required. You are never asked to sign up, log in, or provide an email address.
- Privacy-first. Files are processed locally wherever possible. When server processing is necessary, files are discarded immediately.
- No clutter. No advertising, no pop-ups, no nag screens.
